With National Signing Day behind us, there’s only one thing on most Texas A&M Aggies fans’ minds: “What’s the non-conference schedule four years from now going to look like?” Well that picture became a bit clearer on Friday, as the Appalachian State Mountaineers announced that they will travel to Kyle Field to take on the Aggies on Sept. 10, 2022. The two-time defending Sun Belt Champion Mountaineers are known for playing Power 5 teams close, giving Tennessee an early scare at Neyland Stadium in 2015, and famously defeating Michigan on a blocked field goal at The Big House in 2007.

A&M will also host Miami the following week, making for slightly-more-intriguing-than-usual non-conference slate. The Aggies have at least one Power 5 conference team on their football schedule every year through 2025. On a completely unrelated note, the University of Texas has Power 5 teams on their schedule through 2024.
