While the Aggies’ ranking is unlikely to change significantly when the final rankings come out next week, there are still chances for big moves at the top. Most notably, the teams involved in conference title games in the Big 12 (5 Oklahoma vs. 14 Texas), Big Ten (6 Ohio State vs 21 Northwestern) and SEC (1 Alabama vs. 4 Georgia).
I’ll get into bowl implications for A&M in a separate article, but suffice to say that the SEC having four teams in the top 10, and therefore more likely to be selected for New Year’s Six bowls, is good for the Aggies.
