The Texas A&M Aggies came into the weekend ranked #22 in both the Amway Coaches Poll and the Associated Press Top 25 poll. The Aggies narrowly escaped Columbia with a 26-23 road win over the South Carolina Gamecocks, but thanks to that victory (and some other upsets among ranked teams), they have moved up in both polls heading into their bye week. They now sit at 18th in the Coaches Poll and 17th in the AP Top 25.

A&M gets a week off before resuming play on Saturday, Oct. 27, when they travel to Starkville, MS, to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and then on the road again the following week against the Auburn Tigers on Nov. 3. A&M will be attempting to win games on both sides of the bye week for the first time since 2013.

Texas A&M is currently tied for second in the SEC West with the LSU Tigers, behind undefeated Alabama Crimson Tide.
