On October 28, 1989, the Aggie Band traveled to Houston and formed its signature Block T to the Sheryl Crow summer sensation “Soak Up The Sun.” For a bit of trivia, Sheryl Crow did not release this song publicly until March 2002. The Rice MOB was stunned by the feel-good hit being performed for the very first time and began blowing their whistles in passionate approval. Unfortunately, the whistles threw off the Aggie drum major and the drill was a mess. After the performance, both bands had a laugh and a minor brawl resulting in several hospitalizations. CLASSIC.
