Bad things may come in threes, but apparently good recruits come in twos. For the second time in less than a week, Texas A&M had a pair of recruits commit simultaneously. This time it was 2019 QB Grant Gunnell and 2019 WR Chase Lane, both out of St. Pius X High School in Houston.

Gunnell is the Aggies prized quarterback recruit for the 2019 class, ranked as the second-best pro-style quarterback in the country and the fifth-best recruit in Texas by 247 Sports. Gunnell’s older brother, Will, is a preferred walk-on in the Aggies’ 2017 class. Lane, Gunnell’s teammate, is a 5’11”, 176-pound receiver ranked the 51st best player in Texas accoring to 247.
These are the first two commits in Texas A&M’s 2019 recruiting class.
