JUST LIKE THEY DREW IT UP. Aggie Baseball had a lovely weekend. Kicked it off with a gentle, soothing 15-inning marathon on Friday afternoon/evening in which they finally won on a single after blowing a healthy lead late against Davidson. Saturday they went ahead and fell behind 6-2 heading into the eighth inning before decided to change gears and win the dang baseball. And of course every single Good Aggie was 100% behind the team on social media the entire time. Definitely no overreactions during either game, no sir. The team is headed to Omaha, world capitol of frozen steaks, to face Louisville in the College World Series this weekend. More on that coming at y’all real soon.

LISTICLE THIS. The Top Five Coaches In Texas A&M Football History You Won’t Believe Who # 5 Is And Who Got Left Off The List. It’s June, which means the DMN is laying down groups of five like an SEC AD scheduling non-con games. For someone on such a hot seat constantly, it’s kind of impressive that Sumlin is more tenured than any SEC football coach not named Nick Saban or living in Mississippi.

WHAT ABOUT BOB? Stoops had a hell of a run at Oklahoma. That’s not a low-pressure job. He took it over when it was in a deep funk as a 38 year-old first-time head coach. Granted, he had the Youngstown pedigree and years of tutelage under Spurrier, but to mount the turnaround he did so quickly was an impressive opening salvo. He is the most accomplished coach in Big 12 history, and will probably remain so for many years to come. For better or worse, he’s leaving on his own terms with plenty of time left to enjoy life. Let the Barking Carnival readership sing him out one more time.
