KYLE FIELD PACIFIC NORTHWEST. That’s what they ought to call it. Where the Seattle Seahawks play. Because they’ve got so many Ags on the team. Plus they already have the 12th Man signage. ANYWAY, chalk up another one: rookie free agent Speedy Noil as inked a deal with the Sea-Tac Aggie Club after impressing the suits at minicamp. Best of luck, Speedy. Don’t get too excited, though: when the locals start talking about “organically grown and sourced” they’re just referring to coffee beans, hey.

SHEWMAKE’N ME CRAZY. Congrats to Aggie freshman beisbol sensation Braden Shewmake for getting an invite to the USA National Team tryouts. This would be quite a trifecta if he could make the team, as he’s already on the USA Baseball All-Name team and the All-Hair team. Congrats to the Ag second baser, and best of luck.

THREE-WAY ALL SUMMER LOOOOONG. QB-curious? Don’t look for any sorts of answers anytime soon. Kevin Sumlin announced in yesterday’s SEC teleconference that this battle is nowhere close to being over. Remember simpler times when we had Heisman winners and heirs-apparent and brilliantly-hyped blue chips just lined up to play QB like pristine shotgun slugs in a chamber and disappointment was never on the horizon...[loses train of thought, stares into space for 10-15 minutes]. Huh. Well, those were NOT simpler times, and these guys will be fine. Whoever gets the nod has got four returning offensive line starters and a pair of badass running backs to help them ease into it. They’ll be fine. Trust in Sumlin. Gig ‘em.

GOLF! Here ya go, golf enthusiasts.
