Remember our early season discussions, where we had really nice things to say about our backcourt depth?
It’s about to be tested.
Texas A&M junior guard Admon Gilder is expected to miss some time with a knee injury, but it's not believed to be season ending, insider said. 9-1 Aggies No. 8 in latest AP poll, next host Northern Kentucky on Tuesday.

Texas A&M guard Admon Gilder underwent surgery this morning to repair a torn lateral meniscus. The surgery went better than expected, and the hope is that he’ll return in two weeks, possibly for A&M’s matchup vs. Florida on January 2nd. pic.twitter.com/HVeHbR2OnH

We’re hoping for a return against Florida, but we’re already certain to lose Gilder for the game at Alabama, and that’s going to be problematic. Admon has quietly become our premier stopper on the wing, and the Crimson Tide have one of the best guards in the conference in Jimmy Sexton.
Sexton, as you might recall, led the 3-on-5 sensation that captured the nation by storm. He can score in buckets, and he has been incredible at home this season.
Here’s hoping that a new defensive stopper steps up over the next couple of weeks.
**** Super Fun Update Alert ****
Texas A&M's Robert Williams (concussion) is not expected to play tonight against Northern Kentucky, per Billy Kennedy. Isiah Jasey also out.
