October’s halfway over. This is the point in the season where Aggie Football usually begins its massive leap in the polls.
A dark, frustrating leap from the top ten all the way into obscurity as the entire season unravels in a series of sloppy, inept performances that leave everyone everywhere scratching their heads—
Excuse me, we’ve just been informed that indeed the Aggies are actually climbing in the polls this October. Apologies. We’re still not sure how to process this development.

After back-to-back performances that saw the Aggies come within a touchdown of #1 Alabama, and outlasting Florida in The Swamp for a tough win, Texas A&M Football is ranked for the first time this season at #24 with a record of 5-2.
It was a wild weekend that saw four teams in the top ten lose. #1 Alabama is still holding strong, and Georgia jumped a couple spots to #3. After that it’s a rather sizable gap before you get to the final three SEC teams rounding out the top 25: #21 Auburn lost yesterday to now-#25 LSU.
The Aggies have a bye week this week.
