SPRINKLE A LITTLE O’ THAT AGGIE HOOPS MAGIC ON US WOULD YE? Texas A&M Men’s Basketball has been having a not great month. Things have been deteriorating rapidly and it looked like Saturday’s tilt against UGA was no different. Down by nine with 2 minutes left. Then the Ags flashed one of those tiny windows of brilliance to show what they’re really capabale of. They CLOSED OUT A GAME WITH A 10-0 RUN to seal the victory. Did you feel the faintest tinge of hope just then? A stirring of pride deep within your weathered and jaded Aggie Sports psyche? That’s called #SECBasketballFever and you done caught it, friend. There is no cure.
#DRAFT #TRACK. If you need a single repository to keep tabs on all the SEC players who have declared early as underclassmen for the 2017 #NFL #DRAFT here is a handy bookmark from Team Speed Kills. It includes our three guys, of course: Myles, Speedy, and RSJ. It also lets us see which guys we won’t have to face next year and breathe tiny, existentialist sighs of relief at each name: Cam Robinson. ArDarius Stewart. Carl Lawson. Jamal Adams. Leonard Fournette. Davon Godchaux. And like half of Florida’s starting defense. (Yes this is your reminder that we play at The Swamp next year seven days after we play Alabama. It’s gonna be a hell of an October, ladies n’ gents.)
WELCOME HOME FELLAS. The Super Bowl is being played in Houston in a couple weeks, and we’ve got prominent Ags representing each team. Human monsters Jake Matthews (Falcons) and Martellus Bennett (Patriots) are playing in the biggest game of their lives in their hometown, just down the road from where they were both Aggie legends. Best of luck to both of the big men.
