Well we just saw a bunch of y’all making way-too-early polls so we made our own way-too-early poll where we ranked all the way-too-early polls.

2017 TOP 25 TOP 25 POLLS (EARLY EDITION)

  1. SBNation
  2. local publication that completely forgot about obvious top ten team
  3. national outlet that uses 3 year-old #meme in tweet
  4. Phil Steele who lists the entire top 25 in one sentence written in shorthand.
  5. Recruiting website that hyperlinks 30 high schooler profiles for each team.
  6. Message board poster that lists local team in top 5 but acknowledged they could do even better.
  7. some site you've never heard of that didn't put Alabama or Clemson at #1 specifically to drive traffic
  8. respected national pundit who thinks that a nudge-wink acknowledgement that Way Too Early Top 25's are stupid and unnecessary for some reason absolves him from responsibility for engaging in this self-gratifying pointlessness
  9. slideshow site and you won't believe who they picked at #4
  10. your nerdy cousin who develops his own spreadsheet algorithms that utilize a complex formula based on point output per individual uniform combination worn by team
