Aggies In The NFL: Week 1

53 Man NFL rosters have been set.

This season, I have been tasked with taking over the ‘Aggies in the NFL’ segment from our basketball contributor and all-around great guy, Gigthem08. I do not have any team allegiances in the NFL and only follow players on my fantasy football teams and especially Aggies in the NFL. The preseason is now over and teams have finalized their 53 man rosters. Here is the list of Aggies who have made rosters from NFL.com’s roster list. You may now cease to root for any team that does not have any Aggies on the roster, or recently has cut any Aggies from their rosters. (Ahem, Cleveland Browns).

NFC WEST:

  • Arizona Cardinals: Brandon Williams – CB
  • Los Angeles Rams:
  • San Francisco 49ers: Tony Jerod-Eddie - DE
  • Seattle Seahawks: Michael Bennett – DE, Christine Michaels – RB, Germain Ifedi – OG, Steven Terrell - FS (Gig Em Seahawks!)

  • Dallas Cowboys:
  • New York Giants: Randy Bullock – K
  • Philadelphia Eagles:
  • Washington Redskins: Deshazor Everett - CB

  • Carolina Panthers:
  • New Orleans Saints: De’Vante Harris - CB

  • Chicago Bears:
  • Detroit Lions: Don Muhlbach - LS
  • Green Bay Packers:
  • Minnesota Vikings:

AFC NORTH:

  • Baltimore Ravens:
  • Cincinnati Bengals: Cedric Ogbuehi - OT
  • Cleveland Browns:
  • Pittsburgh Steelers: Cody Wallace - C

AFC SOUTH:

  • Jacksonville Jaguars: Luke Joeckel - OT
  • Tennessee Titans:

AFC EAST:

  • Buffalo Bills: Patrick Lewis - C
  • Miami Dolphins: Ryan Tannehill – QB
  • New England Patriots: Martellus Bennett – TE
  • New York Jets: Julien Obioha - DE

AFC WEST:

  • Denver Broncos: Von Miller – LB
  • Kansas City Chiefs:
  • Oakland Raiders:
  • San Diego Chargers: Josh Lambo – K, Drew Kaser – P

The Seattle Seahawks have the most Aggies on their roster at four. Christine Michael looks to have figured out how to be a pro and is expected to be a valuable member of their running back tandem to replace Marshawn Lynch. Go Hawks, (but don’t you dare say 12th Man). A&M also has four specialists (punter and kicker) on rosters. The San Diego Chargers have both Drew Kaser (P) and Josh Lambo (K). Go Bolts.

The NFL season kicks off Thursday night with Super Bowl MVP Von Miller leading the defending champion Denver Broncos against Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers, who do not have an Aggie on the Roster. Go Broncos.
