Two Texas A&M athletes began competition on Sunday in the Rio Olympics.
Most notably, Jamaican swimmer Alia Atkinson advanced to the final of the women's 100 meter breaststroke. Atkinson finished 7th in the heats at 1:06.72 and tied for 3rd in her semifinal at 1:06.52. The final at 8:54 PM on Monday should air on NBC in primetime.
Former Aggie Hoops favorite Antanas Kavaliauskas scored 6 points for Lithuania in an 82-76 victory over Brazil. Lithuania will next face Nigeria on Tuesday at 5:00 PM.
