Texas A&M QB Trevor Knight is a 50/1 shot to win the Heisman

So you’re tellin’ me there’s a chance?

Bovada has come out with updated odds on who will win the Heisman Trophy in 2016, and Texas A&M quarterback Trevor Knight comes in as a 50/1 shot. To nobody’s surprise, the favorites are LSU’s Leonard Fournette (9/2), Clemson’s Deshaun Watson (5/1) and Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey (11/2).

Knight, who transferred to Aggieland from Oklahoma during the offseason, has quickly ingratiated himself with his teammates, earning praise both for his natural leadership abilities and for his on-field play. He was named the starting quarterback at the conclusion of spring practice, and will be a key to A&M’s success as he takes the reins of new offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone’s system. Knight will have an opportunity to bolster his Heisman campaign right off the bat, as the Aggies will take on UCLA and quarterback Josh Rosen, a 16/1 Heisman candidate, on Sept. 3 at Kyle Field.

Good luck, Trevor!
