Brian Davis of the Austin American-Statesman is reporting via Twitter that Aggies Head Coach, Kevin Sumlin, approached current Texas Longhorns Defensive Line Coach, Brick Haley, regarding the Aggies' vacant Defensive Line coaching position.
Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin has approached Texas DL coach Brick Haley about joining Aggies, source says. Unclear if he'd be interested.

Brick Haley was previously LSU's DL coach under John Chavis for all 6 years of his tenure as Defensive Coordinator there, so there's clearly a strong prexisting relationship in the Aggies' favor here. Haley is well regarded in coaching circles as not only an incredibly successful developer of talent, but also as an ace recruiter.
There's no guarantee that any hire is a home run, but this one would be about as close as you can get. Naturally, Longhorn fans are confident that this won't happen.
