Texas A&M seems to have addressed the quarterback depth they desperately needed, securing a verbal commitment from three-star quarterback Nick Starkel on Thursday.

Nick Starkel, Quarterback, Liberty Christian | TexAgs
Starkel chose the Aggies over Oklahoma State, UCLA, Yale and North Texas. He's ranked as the #70 player in Texas on Texags' Texas Top 116. He'll join Jake Hubenak, Conner McQueen and transfer Trevor Knight in the battle for the starting quarterback job this fall.
But the recruiting news for A&M was not all good on Thursday, as tight end Irvin Smith announced his decommitment.
