Texas A&M Baseball Ranked in Preseason Top 5

Looks like this season's edition of #AggieBaseball will include everyone's favorite attribute: high expectations!

Sanden Stewart

Yesterday, Kendall Rogers, Aaron Fitt and the gang over at D1Baseball.com released their Preseason Top 25 rankings for 2016, and the Aggies found themselves in the top 10 at number 4. Today, Perfect Game released a top 25 of their own, with the Ags coming in at number 3. The writers around the country are obviously expecting to see quite a large amount of bubbles flying out of Olsen this spring.

While the Ags lost seniors Blake Allemand, Mitchell Nau and Matt Kent to graduation as well as both of their Friday night starting pitchers, Grayson Long and AJ Minter, and the team #WHAMMY co-leader, Logan Taylor, to the MLB Draft, this year's team should be one of Head Coach Rob Childress's strongest squads yet. Not only do they return 2015 Second Team All-SEC OF Nick Banks and ace pitcher Tyler Stubblefield on the mound, they add TCU transfer and 2014 CWS standout Boomer White. Couple this with a revitalized Kyle Simonds, who dominated hitters this past fall, and a roster chock full of experience, and you can see why there is a lot to be excited about across the tracks.
