Apparently Kyle Field is getting a lake in 2016. But how will it be used? Don't worry, TAMU System Chancellor John Sharp and Senior Associate Athletics Director Jason Cook have partnered with Chet Norsworth, Senior VP Marketing Strategy Analyst Manager at World Optimum Marketing Products, Inc., to make Kyle Field Lake (official name pending sponsorship) an integral part of the gameday experience in Aggieland.
The lake will be christened next season by a game of waverunner football, featuring Heisman-winning quarterback Johnny Manziel.
This will be followed by the entrance of Texas A&M's beloved mascot, Reveille, on water skis. Or as it has been branded, "Reveiskiing."
Reveille is followed by the Fightin' Texas Aggie Aquatic Band, with the nationally famous inner tubas.
Of course, the primary function of the lake is a tailgating backdrop. But it can also be a prime tailgating location. Enter paddleboatgating.
And of course we all know where ESPN's College Gameday crew would set up.
When the game is over, the lake becomes the second home of the 12th Manatee, because that in-stadium tank doesn't clean itself.
