Texas A&M's student registration made use of automated phone systems in the late 1980's. With thousands of students calling in each semester, it's inevitable that more than a few will misdial the number, and most of those calls wound up in the Northside dorm room lucky enough to have the phone number that was one-digit off of the registration number.
During the registration for the 1988 Spring semester, one group of students decided to have some fun with all of the misdialers trying to register for classes, and what followed was nothing short of hilarious.
