Our #2 Aggies take on the #7 Montana Grizzlies in the NIT opener in Reed Arena (8:00 pm; ESPNU)

Joshua Lindsey-USA TODAY Sports

Late February and early March proved to be brutal for the Aggies as we ended up in the NIT as the #2 seed and home court advantage for at least the first two games. A win would advance the Aggies to play the winner of #3 Louisiana Tech and #6 Central Michigan.

This game is about continuing to turn the corner that this team has been turning over the past 4 seasons. To do so, we will need to slow down the leading point scoring duo of Jordan Gregory (16.9 ppg) and Martin Breuing (16.8 ppg). Montana has an RPI of 146 and went 20-12 overall and 14-4 in the Big Sky Conference on the season.

We will be without our leading scorer, Danuel House, who will miss his third straight game due to a high ankle sprain. It is on the rest of the team to step up to avoid an early round exit from this tournament.

Coach Billy Kennedy offered to pay for the students to come to the game, but it will be interesting to see the attendance with it being Spring Break for the students.

I have not watched a single Montana game all season, but according to stats, it appears they shoot the ball well, but do not rebound well.
