"And it ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe
It will never do anyhow
When your rooster's a crowing at the break of dawn
Look out your window and I'll be gone
You're the reason why I'm traveling on
But don't think twice, it's all right"

BEGGARS CAN'T BE CHOOSERS. Leverage is a funny thing. And in business, it's kind of the only thing. While programs that actually accomplished something in 2015 prepare for their championship games tomorrow, the brass at A&M is fastidiously jockeying for better position in the race for comically mediocre bowls. Sometimes in life, when your performance lags, its best to just keep your head down and mouth shut. Not A&M. Not only do we have the means to build a $500 million dollar stadium, we have the gall to treat bowl games like an ala carte buffet. "Ugh. Houston? NO THANK YOU. We already played there to start the year. And against Tech? LOLZ. They're our little brother from poopy Lubbock." The excuses to duck Tech in Houston range from petty and dumb to totally nonsensical. So a pretty requisite meeting of the suits in Aggieland. Here's a notion - concede that on account of our underachieving season, we'll shut the fuck up and go where the SEC tells us to go. God forbid we play an old rival in a town loaded with Aggies. *gasp* we might lose because sports. It'll be OK. Fin.

THAT REALLY WAS A WEIRD NIGHT IN BATON ROUGE. The play on the field in Baton Rouge on Saturday night left much to be desired. Frankly, the non-Alabama SEC is pretty damn awful and I think bowl season will confirm. The real theater was taking place with the power players at LSU regarding what to do with one Les Miles. The Advocate out of Louisiana has a great recount of the moving pieces that led to LSU keeping Les Miles when it kind of seemed like they really wanted to off him in a swamp and make a Saban clone in a lab.

PEW PEW WATCHLIST PEW. Congratulations to Aggie hoops senior Danuel House on being named to the Naismith Award Watchlist. Gig 'em, D.
