Texas A&M downs Texas 84-73 in Battle 4 Atlantis Basketball Tournament

The 25th ranked Texas Aggies beat the Texas Longhorns 84-73 in the first round of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in the Bahamas. A&M snapped a 5-game losing streak to Texas in the teams' first meeting since 2012. The Aggies will next play #10 Gonzaga in the semifinals at noon on Thursday (ESPN).

Texas A&M took an 8-point lead to the half and let the Longhorns hang around for much of the second half before pulling away in the last 5 minutes. The Aggies had 4 scorers in double-digits (House 19, Collins 15, Davis 14, Gilder 12). Collins' 15-point performance included a perfect 7-7 from the free throw line along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
