Well, that is...something. Veteran coach June Jones stepped down yesterday as the head man at SMU after a rocky 0-2 start to the season. Jones had made SMU somewhat respectable again and took them to four straight bowl games, but the program seemed to have started to regress. Defensive coordinator Tom Mason will be the interim head coach until a replacement can be hired.
