According to www.gigem247.com, Texas A&M freshman receiver Speedy Noil suffered an MCL injury in the team's 38-10 victory over Rice on Saturday, and will be out three to five weeks. Three weeks would mean he would miss games against SMU, Arkansas and Mississippi State. Weeks four and five are games against Ole Miss and Alabama.
Noil scored his first career touchdown against Rice, and had also proven to be an impact player on kick and punt returns. Here's hoping his recovery is speedy...er...fast.
UPDATE: During his Tuesday press conference, Head Coach Kevin Sumlin described the reports regarding Noil's injury as "completely false," and gave no definitive timetable for his return. So there is still at least a glimmer of hope that he could return sooner.
