This is troubling news for the Texas Aggie defense in 2014. Last season, linebacker Claiborne had 89 total tackles with 7 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. Defensive lineman Golden had 32 total tackles with 3 tackles for loss. Both were expected to make major contributions to the Aggie defense during the upcoming season.
In February, the pair was arrested during an incident at Reveille Ranch Apartments. Golden was found with under 2 ounces of marijuana and Claiborne was arrested for a subsequent noise violation. Claiborne was previously arrested on possession charges in December.
