Another championship, please. Women's track & field claimed the national team title in Oregon over the weekend, edging out another university from the state of Texas. That's their fourth title since 2009. The men finished third behind Oregon and Florida. Pat Henry has commissioned another wing to his trophy room.

Remembering Rodney. If you missed it over the weekend, we lost a great one. Rodney Thomas was a talented football player and an even more talented human being. Stop by to share your thoughts here.

FIZZICALLIDY. Physicality. Measurables. Lost in all the off-season shuffle sometimes is the fact that we do have a very good defensive player. Mel Kiper now mentions Deshazor Everett as one of the top corners heading into the draft next year. (Wait is that good or bad?)

OH HEY HO WHAT HAVE WE HERE? The South Carolina press is keen on Sumlin's focus heading into the season opener, but more intriguing (basic factual errors in the article notwithstanding) is the link between Sumlin and Spurrier through Bob Stoops. And even more intriguing than that connection is the fact that this happened:

Sumlin, Stoops and Spurrier all spent a week golfing in Ireland in 2012.

We need stories. And if they're not forthcoming we shall invent them.

And oh yeah... GO TEAM USA
