Taylor Hamm of Gigem247.com said on Wednesday that the Texas A&M staff was on #YESSIR alert for the next couple of days. One day later, that prediction became fact when Justin Evans pulled the trigger. The Ags, who are in desperate need for playmakers at the Safety position, offered Evans two weeks ago when Terry Price made a campus visit. The talented defender from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College made an immediate impact his first year in Perkinston, MS, recording 47 tackles with 5 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles and a scoop-and-score last season.
Evans has yet to be evaluated or ranked by any major recruiting service but that didn't stop the offers from rolling in. He chose Texas A&M over the Auburn Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, Ole Miss Rebels, Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Baylor Bears.
