A couple weekends ago, Splendora running back Jay Bradford visited the Aggies and was rumored to be close to pulling the trigger. Nothing ended up coming of it until Wednesday night around 9 PM when the Aggie faithful were hit with an unexpected:
YESSIR!

Our good friend Taylor Hamm from GigEm247.com quickly shed some light on what seemed to be strange timing.
After Shorter fell off the board & Mixon eliminated A&M today it was a no-brainer to take Jay Bradford. Ags now have two elite RBs for '15

Now it all makes sense. With 2014 Newton back Kevin Shorter choosing the Longhorns over Texas A&M this week and five-star Joe Mixon cancelling his Official Visit to College Station today, Kevin Sumlin clearly decided that scholarship would be better served in 2015 as opposed to this year.
Bradford is a consensus four-star and according to 247Sports.com, the third best running back in the country for the 2015 class. He chose the Aggies over Texas, Baylor, and Texas Tech. Bradford is also a star on the track, winning the State 3A title in the 100 meters with a time of 10.49 as well as the long jump with a 23'11 1/2". He joins Katy's Rodney Anderson as the other running back in their recruiting class.
