I hope you didn't have much going on this morning because we have some really great stuff coming your way in today's podcast. We started off the show by chatting with S.C. Gwynne. If you don't know who he is, he's the kickass author that wrote Empire of the Summer Moon, which is a phenomenal book on the Comanches. He just happens to also be the author of the article "Who is Johnny Football" from the upcoming September issue of Texas Monthly that hits magazine shelves next week. Sam provided us with a really thorough look at what goes in to writing an article about the biggest collegiate superstar any of us have ever known. We got his thoughts on the Manziel family, Johnny's friends, and how he thinks Johnny will react to this offseason (Spoiler: He may be the Michael Jordan of college football). Go ahead and start the player below to check it out.
We also broke down the Alabama Crimson Tide in our second to last 2013 SEC Preview. Lyell from Roll Bama Roll joined us to give us his expectations and concerns of the Tide, his thoughts on September 14th, and who he thinks is the best QB in the SEC (a loaded question, A.J. McCarron). Oh, and make sure you go vote for Emily VanCamp in their RBR Battle Royale.
The episode closes out as David Harris from AggieSports.com joined us to give us his perspective on what he's seeing from some of the guys out there at practice. If you want sunshine and rainbows on everything, you may want to turn down the volume on this part. We are big fans of David's very real and honest thoughts on what he's seeing.
