CONGRATULATIONS TO COACH HENRY AND THE TRACK & FIELD TEAM. The men share the national title with Florida in the first split since 1978, and the women finished in second place behind Kansas. The men's title looked all but wrapped up going into the final event until a dropped baton exchange in the 4x400 relay. The team finished the race, though, earning just enough points to hang on for the tie with Florida.
MLB Draft: the Ags had four players selected over the weekend: Mikey Reynolds, Kyle Martin, Rafael Pineda, and Jason Jester. There were also a handful of Aggie commits selected. Here's a helpful primer on the intricacies of the MLB Draft.
#YESSIR. Coach Sumlin and co. locked down their third commit in a week's span with the addition of Koda Martin on Saturday. Recruited as an ATH, he could play anything from DE to TE/OT.
Andre Ware, Fun Police. I'm sure we all watched Manziel's music video debut on Friday afternoon. Well, Andre Ware saw it also (since it aired on College Football Live) and had this to say:
"As a quarterback of a football team, you’re already elevated, and as the face of the program the microscope is on you, and you’re going to get the publicity. You almost have to fit in. You almost have to calm that stuff down to let the guys know you’re one of them, you’re still with the team, so they can play hard for you week in and week out. I’m not sure he’s done a good enough job of that in the offseason. … Everything seems to come with some publicity. Tone it down. …"
What do we think, folks? Why is Mr. Ware so flustered?
