Spring Game (week) Visitors

As the football team battles through the final week of Spring ball, Coach Sumlin and his staff welcome several of the top high school sophomores and juniors for unofficial visits.

The visits began on Wednesday when brothers Sione and Tristan Teuhema (Keller, TX) took in Aggieland. Tristan is a 2015 offensive lineman and was offered a scholarship by Kevin Sumlin. Junior defensive end Sione however, was only offered a greyshirt position. Both reportedly enjoyed their visit but were understandably disappointed that both weren't offered. At this point, they are a package deal and by not offering both, the Aggies will no longer be seriously considered.

On Thursday, the Ags hosted three impressive visitors. Two consensus four-star, out of state, defensive ends in 2014 made the trip; Aggie legacy Qualen Cunningham from Chandler, AZ and Deondre Clark from Oklahoma City, OK. The Aggies have long been the favorite for Cunningham and you can expect the hard sell with him on campus this weekend. Clark has also said he wants to play in the SEC but it seems LSU has a slight lead at the moment. 2015 QB and son of Kevin Murray, Kyler, also came in to town on Thursday. The junior-to-be and state champion has started raking in the offers as of late and it will be interesting to see if Coach Sumlin is ready to throw his hat in the ring.

For the actual game on Saturday, the list is absolutely ridiculous for both 2014 and 2015.

2014:

NAME SCHOOL POSITION GBH's 2014 TX RANK
Davion Hall Liberty-Elyau WR 2
Tony Brown Beaumont Ozen CB 8
Nick Harvey Ft. Bend Travis DB 10
Jamal Adams Hebron S 16
Kealvin Davis Lakeview Centennial OL 18
DeShawn Wasington Nederland DT 20
Jarrett Johnson Katy Seven Lakes DE 21
Kyle Allen Desert Hills, AZ QB N/A
Deondre Clark Tulsa, OK DE N/A
Qualen Cunningham Chandler, AZ DE N/A

2015:

NAME SCHOOL POSITION
Jordan Davis Clear Lake TE
Justin Dunning Whitehouse S
Soso Jamabo Plano West RB
James Locke Beaumont Central DB
Daylon Mack Gladewater DT
Larry Pryor Sulpher Springs DB

Focusing on 2014, notice the absurd amount of defensive talent that will be on campus this weekend. Definitely Wrecking Crew-esque

Katy Seven Lakes defensive end Jarrett Jonshon is making is second trip to Aggieland in as many weeks and most expect him to end the process for the good guys. It will also be interesting to see Baylor commit Davion Hall and Hebron safety Jamal Adams' reaction to their first trip to College Station. They are two of my personal favorites in this class and if the Ags want to be serious players in their recruitments, this weekend will go a long way.

As for the 2015 attendees, that list is just as impressive. For the village idiot that said the Aggies' aren't players for the top 8-10 sophomores in Texas, I'd save a little of that hot air. NSD for the 2015 class isn't going to be here for a while and Kevin Sumlin is just getting started.
