Spreadsheeting the Stats for #JohnnyRepeat

Because who doesn't want to look at another spreadsheet during the workday?

Mike Stobe

Good Bull FanPoster "txagmk" was the first to attempt to normalize the stats between Johnny Manziel and Jameis Winston in the 2013 Heisman Trophy race (he since deleted the post and it has been published on OKTC). A new spark has been added to the debate.

After tweeting and giggling to myself over the lack of a noticeable difference in playing time between the two, Good Bull Musician Charlie Gore gave me the idea to visualize the data. After a beer and a half just after noon on a Tuesday, I agreed. Let it be known that my name is not SpreadsheetAg, and he is way better at this than I am.

I also added performance versus the best, worst, and closest to average defense both quarterbacks faced. Both Johnny Manziel and Jameis Winston face an average defense of 57 (57.1 for Manziel and 57.5 for Winston). The shocking thing to me was the Aggies being ranked 112th national in time of possession.  We can haz defense?
