2013 Prediction Game: #12 Texas A&M vs UTEP

Last game's winner was a2stick who picked the Aggies to beat Vanderbilt 53-24 earning him a score of three (3).  The tie breaker answer - to "How many yards will Mike Evans' longest catch be?" - was 43 according to the game's stat log.  (JBMurrah87 was really close with the exact same score prediction, but lost it on the tie-breaker)

It was a great turnaround defensively for the Aggies; however, had we hung onto the football a little better the score could have been 70-10 or so - a missed opportunity for a statement.  The defense caused 3 turnovers, had 7 sacks, a pick-six, and generally executed like a Mark Snyder defense should.  The young players are growing up and feeding off the energy of LB Coach Mark Hagen who moved down from the booth to the sideline.

UTEP brings a balanced offense that ranks 71^st at 407 ypg; however, they lost starting QB Jameill Showers (former Aggie player) to injury last game and will start an unproven sophomore, Blaire Sullivan, in his place.  UTEP's defense is about as bad as can be, ranking 108^th and giving up 468 ypg (250 per game rushing given up).
