Head Coach Kevin Sumlin filled a huge position of need with an absolute stud today with the commitment of consensus 5-star defensive end Myles Garrett from Arlington Martin. 247Sports.com ranks the 6'4" 240-pound Garrett as the top player in the state of Texas for 2014 and a top-10 player nationally. As you can imagine, the Aggies beat out a list of Who's Who among college football's elite for Garrett's verbal commitment, but it was the TCU Horned Frogs who proved the stiffest competition. Garrett's pledge moves Texas A&M up four spots to the #7 recruiting class in the nation according to 247Sports' Composite Ranking.
Myles Garrett had 8.5 sacks in his last GAME for Arlington Martin. Pass rush? Maybe just a bit.
