The Aggies added another mismatch-creating weapon today with the verbal commitment of 6'5" athlete Ricky Seals-Jones. Seals-Jones becomes Kevin Sumlin's highest rated commit and gives the Aggies their first five-star. According to 247Sports' Composite Ranking, he is the 13th best player in the country. The Sealy Tiger quarterback originally committed to the Texas Longhorns in February but wanted to look at other options and decommitted four months later.
In what became a SEC West battle between the Aggies and LSU, Kevin Sumlin and area recruiter Clarence McKinney were able to persevere and keep the best player in Texas at home. He is expected to play wide receiver at the next level and makes the eighth (8th!) commit at the position for the Aggies in 2013. RSJ was selected to play in the Army All-American Bowl in February and is also a talented player on the hardwood. The possibility of playing both sports at A&M is an option he may pursue.
Ricky Seals-Jones' commitment moves the Aggie class up one spot to #6 in the country, jumping the Michigan Wolverines.
