Quarterback:
10 AJ McCarron
The 6'4" junior has blossomed into one of the best quarterbacks in the country this year. He has hit 66.7% of his passes this year for 1849 yards with 18 touchdowns. Most impressively, he has yet to throw a pick this season.
Runningbacks:
42 Eddie Lacy
The 220-pound junior averages 75.4 yards per game with 8 touchdowns. Lacy also has 14 receptions for 130 yards and a touchdown on the year.
4 TJ Yeldon
The true freshman scored Alabama's go-ahead touchdown on a screen pass against LSU on Saturday. It was his 8th reception of the year and first receiving TD. The 6'2" 216-pound back is the team's rushing leader with 725 yards and 7 touchdowns.
Offensive Lineman:
In 2009 the redshirt freshman was the starting right guard for the national championship winning Crimson Tide. In 2011, the 6'5" 302-pounder moved to left tackle for the Tide's second championship season and was the recipient of the Outland Trophy in 2011; given to the the country's best offensive lineman. This year, the senior All-American made another move, this time to center. Jones is expected to be one of, if not the, top centers taken in the NFL draft.
The senior guard is 6'3" 320-pounds was amazingly only a 3-star recruit according to Rivals.com. The Sports Illustrated Pre-Season All-American is considered the best guard in this years draft class.
Defensive Line:
54 Jesse Williams
The 6'4" 320-pound Australian is the monster in the middle of this vaunted 3-4 defense. Williams was a JUCO transfer from Arizona Western College and moved to nose-tackle this season after starting at defensive end last year. While his stats don't jump out at you, 21 tackles on the season, his job in this defense is to take up blockers and force plays outside. This allows the linebackers to roam free and use their speed to chase down plays.
Linebackers:
32 CJ Mosley
The 6'2" junior is the team leader in tackles with 69, including 4 for a loss. He has 3 sacks, 2 interceptions, a forced fumble as well as a recovery.
Hubbard is a linebacker in a defensive end's body, measuring in at 6'6" 248-pounds. He has 40 total tackles including a team high of 8 for a loss. He also has 4 sacks and 2 forced fumbles.
Safety:
The 6'0" sophomore has 40 total tackles on the season including 3 for a loss and 0.5 a sack. He's quite the ball hawk; recovering 2 fumbles to go with 2 picks.
