So close. The baseball team came up just short against a very determined Mississippi State squad last night in Hoover. The Ags now face Vandy in a rematch elimination game and oh please Vandy don't be too mad at us from Wednesday. Team Speed Kills has your tourney coverage here.

Rain delay. The softball team's super regional game in Norman was delayed by poor field conditions last night and will be tonight instead. It will still be at 6:00 on ESPN, so tune in.

Who is Kyle Park? Not sure, but a quick perusal of his discography reveals that he wrote a touching ballad about Art Briles called "Leavin' Stephenville."

With a very important announcement: with over 250 total votes in the '80s TV theme song poll, you have chosen "Cheers" by a scant 2% margin over "The Dukes of Hazzard." "Miami Vice" also finished with a respectable 11% of the vote. What does it all mean? It means your DBAgs will write a parody script of the show using SEC characters. HOT BATS! The Aggie baseball team went wild yesterday in Hoover, shutting out #1 Vandy 5-0 in the SEC tourney to advance to the winner's bracket. Is that the second time this year one of our sports teams has gone into the state of Alabama and defeated the nationally #1-ranked team? Hmmm. Lucas Jackson has your comprehensive game recap right here. The Ags play Mississippi State tonight in prime time after the LSU-Arkansas game.

AND MORE BATS. The softball team squares off against #1 seed Oklahoma in the super regionals this evening. The game is on ESPN at 6:00.

Do your thing, Pat Henry. The road to another NCAA Outdoor Championships goes through Austin this year. The Men's and Women's teams each have 29 athletes competing in the West preliminary rounds that begin today. Details and links to live streams are on Aggie Athletics.

Great performance. The women's tennis team came from behind to beat UCLA yesterday to advance to the National Finals for the first time in school history. They'll face Stanford next for the national title.

Oh, good. The baseball team begins SEC tourney play today in Hoover, AL against Florida, then face off against #1 Vanderbilt tomorrow. Details on Aggie Athletics.

ROCKY STOP: the baseball team cruised to a 5-1 victory over Tennessee last night in Knoxville. Both starting pitchers actually threw complete games. They play again this afternoon.

Breakdown: Saturday Down South previews all of the defenses in the SEC West and in a shocking turn of events speculates that Alabama's could be the best.

One last hurrah. The baseball team heads to Knoxville today to wrap up the regular season. Many thanks to jzimmermann11 for his outstanding baseball coverage on GBH. Even when things really started getting ugly late in the year, he kept churning out solid in-depth analysis. Hats off, sir.

Worst Manziel nickname yet. "Johnny Flagstick"? Please try harder. And Darren Rovell is so cutting-edge implying that there were improprieties several months after everyone else in the media did so. It's almost as though the Manziel family can afford to go on trips and stuff! It's a sad figure who sits around waiting to pounce on every Tweet made by a 20 year-old college student.

What do we think? Is Nick Saban really the Devil? Multiple SEC coaches seem to feel that way.

Wiggins out. The kid who was on everyone's Twitter for like five days decided to mix it up and commit to Kansas over Kentucky (among others) yesterday. Turns out he was a basketball player, not a football player. Who knew?

Undefeated. After a rocky season, the baseball team can still claim to be without a loss on mid-week home games this year after knocking off UTPA last night.. Hooray?

Best kickers. Saturday Down South ranks the top five returning kickers in the conference by FG percentage. Looks like we will face four of them. Speaking of kickers, Randy Bullock of the Texans got his degree on Saturday. Good Bull, Randy.

Big 12 Challenge. It was announced yesterday that we'll be squaring off against Oklahoma in basketball in Houston on New Year's Eve in the new Big 12/SEC Challenge. Trying to remember what happened last time we faced the Sooners in Texas around New Year's in sports...

DON'T DO IT, SEAN. They put CINNAMON in their "chili" and serve it over spaghetti. The Arkansas guy you're rolling with is from Texarkana and should know better also. In other words, we'd all feel better if you revealed that you didn't go to Skyline.

Home finales. The baseball team will take on UT-Pan American tonight and will try to go undefeated in midweek home games on the season because it's good to have goals. The game could possibly air in multiple counties on the Longhorn Network, but it's recommended you contact your psychic medium to be sure. Meanwhile, the softball team has earned a no. 16 seed in the NCAA tourney and will be a host team. They square off against Penn on Friday on ESPN2. Details on Aggie Athletics.

Wait...this is confusing. Last week he was going to be a mediocre pro at best, but now he's going to be the most sought-after guy in next year's draft? Start Tweeting and Instagramming again, Johnny, you're really throwing these guys for a loop when you're just being normal. [Also, wasn't the zone read a fairly minor part of our offense in 2012? Paging Ranger for clarification, because that's going to be the buzz phrase when discussing Manziel now.]

Off-season scientific polling continues. Don't forget about the Aggie Mt. Rushmore survey. Or the '80s TV theme song poll, which will determine a GBH original smallscreenplay starring SEC personalities. Because it's a long time until August 31.
