Taylor Hamm, of 247sports.com shared news today that RS freshman Matt Davis, pioneer of the Agg Swagg movement of the 2012 recruiting class will be transferring.
It's saddens me to tweet this but Matt Davis will transfer from Texas A&M. He will be missed in the Aggie locker room.

Look for Davis not to go far from home. Trinity Valley or Tyler JUCO. Statement from the family coming exclusively to GigEm247 soon.

This news, while disappointing, is not surprising as Davis was reported to be 4th on the depth chart, behind freshman Kenny Hill, RS Junior Matt Joeckel, and RS Sophomore Johnny Manziel coming out of summer ball.
The concern here is how thin A&M has the potential to be in 2014 if Manziel declares for the NFL draft and Joeckel graduates, leaving only Kenny Hill and incoming freshman phenom Kyle Allen as scholarship QBs on roster.
But that aside, Davis' leadership will be missed. From being the leader of the Agg Swagg movement--and holding together a recruiting class during a coaching change, to being a workout warrior, to a leader in the locker room, Matt Davis has done everything right...but the breaks just didn't fall his way.
Best of luck Matt, and thanks for everything.
