It all started during Johnny Manziel Autograph-gate this summer when friend of GBH and regular FanPoster @lynnemarie12 asked us to Photoshop her avi with Johnny's signature. Here's what we came up with:
Fast forward a couple of months, and Lynne dressed as an NCAA Violation for Halloween with a well-placed (ok, a little high) Johnny Manziel fauxtograph.
In her tweet about the costume, Lynne wrote "Hey @espn I paid a lot of money for this autograph"
The problem is that many people on the internet don't know a joke when they see one and some bloggers ran with the story as though Johnny really signed Lynne's chest and she was trying to sell the story to ESPN. I am not making this up.
So how did Lynne get such a realistic Johnny Manziel autograph that duped sports bloggers?
"My roommate just looked at a google image and did it. Like first try, we didn't even try to make it look real."
And there you have it.
