After a tough loss to the Bayou Bengals, the Ags must move on to an embattled Auburn Tiger team. Two years off a national championship, Gene Chizik's ball club has won only one game in 2012, a 31-28 OT victory over the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks. After falling to Vanderbilt last week, the temperature is scorching on Coach Chizik's seat. However, don't be mistaken that this is a team void of talent. Chizik has brought in top recruiting classes in his time on the plains. Here are the leaders for the Tigers:
Quarterback:
The Junior replaced Kiehl Frazier during the Arkansas game. In his three games, he has only thrown for 373 yards with only one touchdown and three picks.
Runningbacks:
21 Tre Mason
The 5'10" 200 pound Sophomore is the teams leading rusher with 93 carries for 474 yards and four touchdowns.
The Senior has rushed for 332 yards on 65 carries with two scores. He also has 11 kick returns including a 100 yard for a touchdown
Wide Receiver:
80 Emory Blake
The 6'2" wideout averages 14.2 yards a reception and leads the Tiger offense with 425 yards and two scores.
Defensive End:
The 6'4" 246 pound beast has 22 total tackles on the year including five for a loss. He leads the Tiger defense with five sacks on the year and has forced/recovered a fumble and blocked a kick.
Linebacker:
25 Daren Bates
The Memphis, Tennessee native is the leading tackler with 74, including 5.5 for a loss. He has two sacks, one interception and has also recovered a fumble.
